Alastair Milne, President

 

Alastair Milne P.Eng., the founder and President of Gas Packaging Engineering Ltd., has over 25 years oil and gas industry experience, including 14 years in the engineering and manufacture of packaged gas equipment.

After obtaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen (UK), Alastair worked in the UK North Sea oil and gas industry, both on and offshore, holding positions in plant inspection, plant maintenance and process engineering. In Canada, Alastair worked as a Project Manager and Project Engineer, designing and packaging gas compression, refrigeration and gas processing plant for North American and overseas customers. Latterly Alastair has held the position of Engineering Manager with a packaged equipment manufacturer, developing the Company's engineering capability and range of products.

Alastair has the expertise and experience to assist you with developing new packaged engineered products or reworking existing products. From initial process studies, applications engineering, RFQ and specification review to detail engineering, fabrication drawings, operating documentation and startup support and troubleshooting, Alastair and GPE's team can provide solutions for your projects.

Alastair is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) licensed in the Provinces of Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan in Canada and is a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE), registered as Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) in the UK.
