Typical Dewpoint Control Plant Package
A typical dewpoint plant with mechanical refrigeration designed by GPE will be capable
of producing the specified sales gas and sales liquids from the contract feed gas. The package will include:
- Gas cooling
section - gas-gas exchanger, TEMA / ASME VIII shell and tube heat exchanger, ASME 600# design, DT -40F to 150F; gas-liquids exchanger,
TEMA / ASME VIII shell and tube heat exchanger, ASME 600# design, DT -40F to 150F;
- Gas Chiller - TEMA / ASME VIII kettle, shell
and tube or plate and frame heat exchanger, DP vacuum to 250 psig, DT -40 to 150F, instruments, surge volume
- Compression train
- Driver - natural gas engine e.g. CAT 3306TA c/w governor, fuel system, starter; electric motor, 1ph or 3ph induction, LV or MV;
- Compressor - screw, recip with shaft coupling, vibration sensors;
- Suction - automatic suction control valve if required; ASME VIII suction
scrubber with mesh pad or elements, PSV, instruments, valves, slug capacity, DP vacuum to 250 psig, DT -40F or -20F to 250F
- Discharge - ASME VIII oil separator with meshpad and elements, PSV, instruments, valves, DP
up to 500 psig, DT -40F or -20F to 350F; or ASME VIII pulsation bottles or discharge separators with PSV, minimum instrumentation,
DP up to class 1500#, DT -40F or -20F to 500F; automatic discharge PCV if required; automatic hot gas bypass for low process flow
